Premier League transfer news: Gianluigi Buffon, Willian, Robert Lewandowski (See Where Each Player Is Going)

Italian goalkeeping legend Gianluigi Buffon has announced today that he’s leaving Juventus at the end of season – but could he keep playing instead of retiring?

The 40-year-old, who’s expected to hang up his gloves after Juve’s match against Verona on Saturday, has revealed that a number of clubs have offered him the chance to prolong his career.

“Up until 15 days ago, it was certain and well-known that I would stop playing”, he said. “Now I have received some proposals and exciting challenges, both on the field and off it.”

It’s reported that Liverpool are trying to convince Buffon to move to Anfield. There is also interest from Premier League champions Manchester City.

Willian: Chelsea to Manchester United

It’s no secret that Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of Chelsea midfielder Willian so it comes as no surprise that Manchester United are keen to sign the Brazilian. Mourinho signed Willian in 2013 when he was manager of Chelsea and now wants a reunion at Old Trafford. It’s reported that United have held “informal talks” with the player’s agent.

Toby Alderweireld: Tottenham to Manchester United

Another player high on the Manchester United shopping list is Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld. United have consistently been linked with a move for the Belgian. Spurs are “resigned” to losing the 29-year-old.

Sime Vrsaljko: Atletico Madrid to Manchester United

There’s more Old Trafford transfer news and this time it’s about another defender. United are reportedly keen on Atletico Madrid’s Sime Vrsaljko and could make a £30m bid for the Croatian.

Robert Lewandowski: Bayern Munich to Real Madrid/Chelsea

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is “plotting his exit” from the German champions amid interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea. The Polish striker has met up with agent Pini Zahavi to “consider his future”.
