Sylvester Stallone ‘has dropped out of The Expendables 4’

If you were looking forward to seeing Sylvester Stallone in The Expendables 4, then we’ve got a bit of bad news for you.

Because the Hollywood action man has quit the popular franchise, and won’t be starring in that fourth instalment.

The website Deadline reported that Sly quit after failing to see eye to eye with Nu Image/Millennium chairman Avi Lerner over the project – failing to see eye on eye on such aspects as director and
script.

Had he stayed on board he would have reportedly netted a $20m payday.

‘We agreed on 95% of things, but there are certain things in production we don’t agree on. I don’t think it’s over, but write whatever you want.’

Stallone has appeared in all of the Expendables movies so far, with the series – which is intended to pay homage to the bombastic action movies of the 80s and 90s -first appearing onscreen in 2010.

The first film saw Stallone, and co-stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jason Statham joined by the likes of Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Steve Austin and Eric Roberts, as an elite squad called upon to overthrow a Latin American dictator.
